noelle motors develops the Bi-Turbo engine for the current E92 BMW 335i

Bi Turbo engines were always his world, like 20 years ago when Karl-Otto Noelle developed the B10 Bi-Turbo for Alpina. Now he has shifted his talents towards the new 335i. The end result is a vehicle with 360 bhp (265 kw) and max torque of 383 lb/ft (520 Nm) - exactly the same performance level as the B10 but delivered by BMW as standard product!

The performance increase is achieved by modification of the engine ECU, in the area of ignition, injection, airpressure and the factory speed limiter is also removed.

As a consequence, the performance figures are even more impressive. The production model achieves 0-60 mph in 5,5 Sec and the noelle motors conversion improves this time by another seven tenths of a second to 4,8 seconds (0-60). From 0-125 Mph the noelle motors coupe lurches ahead just like the new M3, and achieves a max speed of 183 Mph. The standard setup of the 335i is a real credit to BMW engineers, as the standard suspension, brakes and aerodynamics are more than adequate for the job. Only tyres with higher speed rating should be used.

The adaptive control of the 6 speed automatic transmission functions well with the higher torque curve of 383 lb/ft (520 Nm). The 335i noelle motors conversion enables BMW drivers to experience two styles of driving, either smooth and relaxed or something for the more dynamic driver, combining quicker shifting transmission and high levels of torque. "Noelle magic" is also available for vehicles with manual transmission.

Amazingly, even after conversion, fuel economy remains the same. Only by constant excessive revs does consumption become apparent. For those drivers who use and ride the levels of torque, 30 mpg is achieveable.

The price of the 335i noelle motors kit is 2.618 Euros, a fantastic offer when comparing the level of power increase.

Karl-Otto Noelle is currently developing a 335i conversion offering 400 Bhp. This kit will include new pistons, optimised intercooling, sports catalytic converters and a 4 pipe stainless steel exhaust system. The maximum speed will exceed over 187 Mhp/300 Kph, and will include new suspension and braking components.
